“Memories are a crazy thing. Every moment can turn into one. What do you choose to do with them? What do you take away? I think it’s important to reflect, but not regret. Sometimes that is really tough. Hard lessons learned are burned into our memories, usually by pain. There is still so much to gain. I hope you love yourself. We all should. That is such a cliche, but most of the truest truths are.
We know the answers to some of the toughest questions intrinsically. We know the need to hold on or let go. We know when something is or isn’t working. Hold on if it’s good, but don’t cling to whatever it is in fear of losing a part of your identity. I did. Holding on for dear life. Fighting not to just be a memory. But it’s okay to be. I’ve certainly learned a lot. Sometimes out of pain eventually comes love, growth, and wisdom. Fuckin bittersweet.
Those memories served their purpose. To capture many different moments. A split second in the past that helps tell the story of who we are today. It meant a great deal to me. It always will. If it was even for a moment, it was good. In the truest way. Something absolutely good.
I can’t believe people want to listen to the songs I make. It means the world to me. To whoever is listening, I can only hope for it to mean something to you. I hope you enjoy this.”
